Muttermi(l)ch
In the participatory, performative installation Muttermi(l)ch (mother's milk/(be)mother me), laughter and humor are set documents in white ink as resistant, self-empowering, and comforting forces within the female* sphere of reproductive labor.
Sitting in my own wedding dress, I put texts on humor by significant feminists invisibly on paper with mother's milk. Analogous to Hélène Cixou's idea of écriture feminine, writing in white ink, which the philosopher developed in "the laughter of Medusa," I conceptualize humor as a tactical practice. Finally, the audience is asked to iron the papers, bringing to light the thoughts of the female authors.
The durational performance took place from Juli 7th -11th 2021 as part of We are the Golden Revolution!100 Years in 100 Minutes at Semper Depot in Vienna.

In der partizipativen, performativen Installation muttermich werden Lachen und Humor als widerständige, selbstermächtigende und tröstende Kräfte innerhalb der weiblichen* Sphäre der Reproduktionsarbeit mit weißer Tinte Dokumente gesetzt.
In meinem eigen Brautkleid sitzend, bringe ich Texte zu Humor von bedeutenden Feministinnen unsichtbar mit Muttermilch auf Papier. Analog zu Hélène Cixous Idee der écriture feminine, dem Schreiben mit weißer Tinte, welches die Philosophin in "das Lachen der Medusa" entwickelte, konzeptuiere ich Humor als taktische Praxis. Das Publikum wird schließlich gebeten, die Papiere zu bügeln und bringt damit die Gedanken der Autorinnen ans Licht.
Die durational performance fand von 9.- 11.7.2021 als Teil von Wir sind die goldene Revolution!100 Jahre in 100 Minuten im Semper Depot in Wien statt.
